Tonia Parronchi

Although she was born and brought up in England, Tonia has lived in Italy since 1990 and her books reflect this intimate knowledge of the country. Living in Tuscany gives her a unique point of view, a deep knowledge of the local ways and people whilst keeping her intrinsically British sense of humour.

Author Biography

Tonia Parronchi grew up in Shenfield, England, got a degree in English Literature and History, worked as an air-hostess for a year and then in a fashion showroom in London but although she loved England and her wonderful family and friends the urge to travel was too strong to resist. She left home in 1990, met her Italian husband Guido whilst in Greece and have been living with him in Italy ever since. She says, "I fell in love with a man who shares my passion for travel, adventure, books, good wine and snow - what more can a girl ask for? Not only that but he is a great cook too!"
