Anna was born in Sweden and raised in South America, on a rather heady mixture of Swedish traditions, South American culture and British schooling. Her first writing efforts were mostly about medieval times, but these days she's as much a fan of the 17th century as of the age of knights and damsels - besides, she doesn't really believe in damsels, she prefers her heroines as capable and strong women.
Had Anna been allowed to choose, she’d have become a professional time-traveller. As such a profession does as yet not exists, she settled for second best and became a financial professional with two absorbing and time-consuming interests, namely British History and writing. These days, Anna spends almost as much time writing and researching as she does working, which leaves little time for other important pursuits such as cooking and baking.
Anna Belfrage is the author of The Graham Saga. Set in seventeenth century Scotland and Virginia/Maryland, The Graham Saga tell the story of Matthew and Alex, two people who should never have met – not when she was born three hundred years after him.
Anna is also hard at work with her next project, a trilogy set in the 1320’s. Plus there’s a story about a jewel thief in the 17th century waiting to be told, and another about three reincarnated souls that pursue each other through time, and…Well: imagination is something Anna has a lot of.
Other than her novels, Anna also maintains a well-visited blog, writes guest posts and articles. At some point in her life she hopes to walk her way all the way to Samarkand, ensuring, of course, that she carries the wherewithal to write on with her!
